FAQ

  • I have friends that I talk to, how do I know if therapy is right for me?"
If you find yourself needing to talk to a friend to process situations within your life and it makes you feel better, therapy could be helpful to you. It is great that you have a supportive friend group, but it can be helpful to have a non-biased conversation with a professional about your concerns where you can talk about things that you may not feel comfortable with your friends knowing.
  • How long does therapy last?
There is no real answer for this. Therapy can last as long or as short as you feel is necessary. As a professional I am always open to having this conversation with you, and assisting you with making that next decision.
  • I don't like talking about my problems, how will therapy work for me?"
My approach is making the client feel as comfortable as possible. Therapy can be scary initially, but as your therapist I am here to work this process with you. I will never make you talk about anything you are not ready to talk about.
  • How will therapy fit into my schedule?
We can work together to identify a schedule that will work best for you. I also offer teletherapy options as well.
  • What type of method or approach do you use?
My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the needs of each client and draws from various theoretical models including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Family Systems and strengths based.
